Rabbi’s Message & YIGC Announcements for 12/15/18
We once again find our brothers and sisters in a very dangerous situation in Eretz Yisroel. Drive by shootings and the disregard for human life, is really quite alarming. Let us continue to daven for a refuah shlaima for those injured in these cruel activities, and daven for an end to the violence and for the return of a semblance of safety to acheinu bnai yisroel throughout the world.
On our local front, Matan B’Seiser, one of our community’s most important institutions, has approached all of the congregations in the community and asked for our help. As the community has continued to grow, so too havethe needs grown as well. Matan B’seiser has asked all the shules in the city to make an emergency appeal to help them with their shortfall. In our kehilla since we have
a simcha in shule this Shabbos, we will postpone the official appeal until next week. If you would like to give before next Shabbos, please don’t wait. You can send them your donation now and they will graciously accept it.
A reminder that this coming Tuesday is the fast of Asara B’teves. The details of the fast and the shule’s davening schedule are in our announcements.
Have a great Shabbos.
