Our family had the pleasure of spending Shabbos last week in Savannah, Georgia at our grandson’s bar mitzvah. If you haven’t ever been to Savannah you might find it to be a very interesting experience. Outside of it being very hot and humid in the summer, as your glasses get fogged up every time you go outside, it is a very quaint and scenic community. The Jewish community has been there for many many years, and has retained a very nice flavor of what many Jewish communities in the US must have looked and felt like. If you ever find yourselves not too far from Savannah, I think you will find it worth the time to visit.
This Shabbos we will continue our afternoon class at 5:30 PM. We will discuss some of the halachic issues that we deal with when traveling away from our homes. Whether it be over Shabbos, Yom Tov or even during the week.
Have a great Shabbos.
