Rabbi’s Message & YIGC Shabbos Announcements 5/22/21
Shavuos Yizkor Appeal was for the Kollel of Young Israel. Please send in your pledges to the office as soon as possible and make the check payable to Kollel of Young Israel.
Volunteers needed to help set up Kiddush and Shalosh Seudos at the Stone Synagogue—please contact the office if you are able to help.
The Shul parking lot will remain closed through Sunday morning.
If you drive to shul, please use the Green Road Synagogue parking lot or the rear of the Yavne parking lot (along the tree line).
Please refrain from walking on the parking lot surface.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Thank you to everyone for helping to make our Yom Tov experience in shule so meaningful. The davening was very inspiring and all the programming was very successful. Our Shavuos night learning led by the Kollel was amazing. Our Bais Medrash was full of people learning either all or part of the night. Our women’s class on the first day of Yom tov had almost one hundred and fifty women participating in a captivating lecture by Mrs. Ruchie Koval. Our medical panel on the second day of Yom Tov was well attended and enjoyed by all in attendance. Our Nielas Hachag, at the conclusion of Yom Tov, included singing and dancing and paid tribute to those individuals, who together with our Rosh Kollel, Rabbi Baum, finished the entire Maseches Makkos. The ruach over Yom Tov was great; may we continue to go from strength to strength.
As I write this message there is currently a temporary cease fire between Israel and Chamas. I am not overly optimistic that it will last. Let us continue to daven for peace and safety in Eretz Yisroel. As I mentioned over Yom Tov, a special yasher koach and thank you to our local young adults that are part of the IDF, and are risking their lives to protect Acheinu Bnai Yisroel, and for that matter, all of us as well.
Have a great Shabbos.
