Rabbi’s Message & YIGC Announcements for 10/12/19

Shalom Zachor at the home of Yisroel  & Sherrie Mendenhall, 4292 University Pkwy at 9:00 pm for son of Avrohom & Tova Weiner.

Dear Member,

I want to take this opportunity to thank our kehila for the moving and inspiring Yom Kippur that we had in our shule.  The ruach in the shule was very powerful.  We pray that our tefilos were successful and that we should  all be granted a year of success and growth for all the things that we yearn for.

Our Rabbis tell us that the first days of Sukkos is called “rishone l’chesvon avonos”,  the first for the calculation of sins.  We understand that to mean that since we are so busy between Yom Kippur and Sukkos getting ready for all the mitzvos of the yom tov of Sukkos, we have no time to sin.  Halivy that should be true for all of us.

In the spirit of getting ready for Sukkos, we will have a Carlbach Kabolas Shabbos tonight at the Stone Synagogue.

Wishing everyone a great Shabbos and a chag someach.

 Rabbi Burnstein
