Rosenfeld Bris—Shabbos at approx. 12:00 noon at the Rosenfeld home, 14417 E. Carroll
Many of us had the opportunity to attend the panel discussion we hosted last week on the topic of mental health issues in our community. The turnout was amazing and the program was very enlightening. There is obviously a great interest in the topic of mental health. I hope that we will continue to offer more programs and panel discussions on this topic that will be of interest, and more importantly of help to our community. The one take home message I would like to share with you for now is, that if you have any questions in the area of mental health, please do not hesitate to call Naaleh, which is a very special organization in our community that helps direct people to the appropriate mental health professionals to seek, among many other benefits and programs that it offers.
Thank you to all those who came to the Jewish Federation to help make phone calls for Super Sunday. It was a very successful program. I was very happy to see that there were more people from the Orthodox community than I have seen in the past.
Next Shabbos is the Shabbos Project weekend, which is celebrated in many different ways all over the world. In our own community there will be many programs taking place. Next Thursday evening is the Challah Bake event. In addition there is a new program initiated for men at the JCC. Please check Local Jewish News for the specifics. We will be participating in the Shabbos Project with a special program. We will send you more information during the week.
Have a great Shabbos.
