4th WOMEN’S SHIUR THIS SHABBOS in Stone Synagogue Tent at 5:00 pm—All women are welcome! Speaker is Rabbi Yehuda Bresler. Topic is: “Let’s Make a Deal: Getting Real with Rosh Hashanah”
Today, sometime before Shabbos, you should be receiving an e-mail with information about our upcoming Yomim Noraim davening in the shul. I want to thank Josh Klarfeld, Yank Gecovich and all the lay volunteers for all their efforts in piecing together the myriad details that are involved in getting ready for Yom Tov. Also. a very special thank you to Rena Greenfeld and Elisa Travis for their herculean efforts to keep up with all the details, and still be so available to our membership at the same time. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
Part of our tradition at Young Israel is to have an appeal for Israel Bonds over the course of Rosh Hashanah. I do not have to explain to you how important it is for us to continue to support the State of Israel, and how worthwhile Israel Bond Bonds is. This year, however, in order to keep our minyanim moving more quickly, we have chosen not to have the traditional appeal. We will place the bond cards in the atrium so that you may take them home and fill them out after Yom Tov. You may send them directly to the local Israel Bond office (mark Young Israel on the card), or send it to our office and we will send it in for you. I do want to stress the importance of this cause and urge you to continue your support for Israel Bonds and the State of Israel.
Have a great Shabbos.
