Rabbi’s Message, YIGC Shabbos Announcements, Kidz Korner Parsha Sheet 5/8/2021
I assume that everyone has received our May newsletter and has had a chance to see the programming that we are preparing for Shavuos. I would like to highlight our medical panel discussion that we have planned for the second day of Shavuos, which has become a very popular program for our shule and the entire community. Our focus this year, as it was at the last program in 2019, is on issues involving mental health. This is a topic that has become so important in recent years, as we try to break the stigma that used to and to some extent continues to exist in the world and particularly in the Orthodoz Jewish world about mental health. As a matter of fact there are some communities that have chosen this coming weekend as one to focus on the topic of mental health. A very special thank you to Naaleh, a local organization in our community, that assists families in finding the right therapists to help them with their mental health needs, along with doing so much more to help families and individuals in need of guidance and support.
I hope you will be able to join us on Shavuos, for a very informative and educational experience.
Have a great Shabbos.
