Rabbi’s Message, YIGC Announcements, & Kidz Korner Parsha Sheet for 11/21/2020

 Dear Member,

We encourage everyone to read the recent letter from the Vaad HaRabbonim which appeared in Local Jewish News regarding COVID-19.

The YIGC continues to strive to create a safe environment for all entering our shul building.  Unfortunately, the spread of COVID-19 continues to rise in the state of Ohio and in Cuyahoga County.  We request that any individual in quarantine, even if you are not displaying any symptoms, remain home and not attend minyan nor enter the shul building.

For those entering the building we remind everyone that wearing a mask, covering both nose and mouth, is required at all times.  The mask must be kept on the entire time you are in the building, not just in the room where you are davening.  Please do not remove the mask until you have left the building. Please be mindful of social distancing at all minyanim. Please remain home if you do not feel well.

This past week we sent you an e-mail about a new initiative entitled ” Be the Spark in Someone Else’s Day”.  It is a beautiful way to enter the month of Kislev and approach the yom tov of Chanukah.  Creating, or better yet recreating the warm and generous feeling of a community is so important at any time, and particularly at a time like ours when we have been so limited in our ability to connect with each other.

Please give it a try.  You will surely enjoy the experience and feel a sense of accomplishment, while at the same time doing a great mitzvah.

 Have a great Shabbos.

 Sincerely,

 Rabbi Burnstein
