Dear Member,

I hope you are all enjoying a peaceful and productive summer.  Before long we will be getting our children ready for the new school year, and in the shul, we will be preparing for the upcoming Yomim Noraim.

Everyone that has been in our building over the last few weeks and months, has seen the renovations that have taken place.  Our social hall has been painted and has a beautiful new floor, and our Atrium and vestibule have new flooring as well.  We can all be proud of our Mikdash Me’at.

I would like to ask everyone to take a little more pride in our shul.  I am not only referring to how we talk about our shul.  It also means that we should treat it with greater respect. Juastas we are careful to keep ourhomes and offices clean and neat, the same should be true for our shul.  If we see something that should be discarded—leftover food, tissues, cups, etc.—discard them.  Let’s also keep after our children that they should respect our shul and keep it cleasn as we would expect them to treat our homes.

It is our privilege and obligation to keep our special Bais Knesses both spiritually and physically beautiful.

 Have a great Shabbos.

 Rabbi Burnstein
