Dear Member:
Last Shabbos for the first time in many years, our community did not have a functioning eruv. Because of the storm that hit our community, and the handful of tornados that hit the area, the eruv came down. A very special thank you to those running our local eruv, who advised us of its being down, and then got it fixed in time for this coming Shabbos. We forget how lucky we are to have an eruv that we can enjoy and use each and every week. It is also a reminder to us that we must continue to fiscally support our eruv. Shortly after the conclusion of yom tov our community will once again have our annual fundraiser for the eruv. Please respond generously. We now are reminded how precious the eruv is for us and how we must continue to support its maintenance and all other costs.
This coming week we will have our Labor Day learning program run by the Kollel, as well as a special lecture Monday evening in our shul, by Rabbi Menachem Nissel, a well known lecturer. The details can be found in the flyers we sent you.
Have a great Shabbos.
Rabbi Burnstein

Cleveland Eruv Society
As the community knows, the Cleveland Eruv Society has the Eruv checked every week and repairs and fixes it on an as-needed basis. Many have urged us over the years, in the interests of necessary fundraising, to allow the Eruv to go unchecked one week, so the community could truly understand what Shabbos would be without it. We have always refused to take such drastic measures. This week, however – entirely through non-man-made events – we all got a chance to experience the lack of an “Eruv” due to the damage done to poles and wires because of the storm. Your contribution to the Eruv will go to help repair the damages that were caused by the storm. See the following link: www.clevelanderuv.com
