Shabbos Announcements 6/26/21
This Sunday is Shiva Asar B’Tammuz. It is not only a fast day, it is also the beginning of the Three Weeks, the period of time when we mourn the destruction of the two Battei Mikdash, as well as many other tragedies that have happened to our people throughout the ages. It is somewhat difficult to mourn tragedies that took place so long ago. We are so far removed from the days of the Bais Hamikdash and all that went along with it. We refer to this mourning period as an Aveilus Yishana, an old mourning, to remind us that we have to work at trying to appreciate what we had and what we lost. We pray for a return to a time when all that we are missing will be restored, and we will all live in Eretz Yisroel in peace and tranquility.
Our hearts and prayers are directed to all the families and individuals that were connected to the latest tragedy in Miami. May Hashem heal the injured and bring comfort to those who lost loved ones in this terrible accident.
Have a great Shabbos.
